1st Homecare - for people we support and their families

1st Homecare services are perfect if you need:

• help with personal care; things like getting up, washing, dressing or using the toilet
• support for your general health and wellbeing
• help with making meals
• help with cleaning your home or doing the garden
• assistance with shopping, social activities and outings
• help with managing money and paying your bills
• help with paperwork or claiming benefits
• help with taking medicines
• a little bit of friendly companionship

We always strive to make your home care support as flexible as possible, geared fully to your needs and the person you are. We will match you and your care needs with staff with similar interests and the right skills to provide the right services for the duration of your care, which may include:

• call times that suit you e.g. short calls for 15 minutes, up to 24-hour care, 52 weeks of the year
• arranging respite or short breaks for you or members of your family
• short notice support because of an emergency
• reablement support e.g. where staff support people to return and stay at home following a stay in hospital
