1st Homecare Irvine Receives ‘Very Good’ Grades in Care Inspectorate Inspection

The team at 1st Homecare Irvine is celebrating a major milestone after receiving Grade 5 (Very Good) ratings across all three areas assessed during a recent unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate.

The inspection, which took place in January, confirmed strong performance across supporting people’s wellbeing, the quality of the staff team and care planning.

Inspectors highlighted several key strengths within the service, including the continuity and reliability of care staff, the strength of relationships with the people they support and consistently positive feedback from individuals and their families. Staff were described as kind, professional and respectful, helping people feel comfortable and supported in their own homes.

The report also recognised strong leadership, effective communication across the team and detailed, person-centred care planning that reflects people’s individual needs, preferences and life histories.

The outcome marks an important moment for the service, which has worked hard over the past five years to strengthen and develop the support it provides within the local community.

Jane, who leads the Irvine service, said:
“I’m incredibly proud of everyone here. The team works tirelessly to provide high-quality care and support, and this inspection result recognises the passion and commitment they show every day.”

Jean Trench, Group CEO, said:
“These results are something the whole Irvine team should be incredibly proud of. Achieving Grade 5 across all areas inspected reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism shown by staff every day.

Jane and her team have worked incredibly hard to develop the service and this inspection result is a clear reflection of the care, effort and commitment that goes into supporting people in the community.”

The latest results highlight the quality and consistency of care at the Irvine service and reinforce 1st Homecare’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality support that enables people to live well in their own homes.
