Remembering those who passed away during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Staff at our 1st Homecare Dumfries service are creating a Memory Wall at their service office to remember those who passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The loss of a loved one can be distressing. For many, attending a funeral is an opportunity to come to terms with the loss. Many, including our support staff were unable to attend such events due to the regulations in place during the pandemic. By creating a Memory Wall, staff will celebrate people’s lives and fondly remember those they cared for in their own special way.

Staff have volunteered to paint an office wall ahead of family members and staff being invited to come along and add their own messages.

The Memory Wall is expected to be in place by the end of August 2022. Watch this space for further updates.
