Congratulations To The Team At 1st Homecare Falkirk On Their Amazing Feedback And Level 6 Grade
A huge congratulations to the team at our 1st Homecare Falkirk service on their amazing feedback and level 6 grade following their recent Care Inspectorate inspection.
The Falkirk service was thoroughly inspected on four key areas which assessed how individuals were supported during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, with a key focus on people’s wellbeing. Staff and the people we support at the service spoke to the Care Inspectorate to share their feedback and have their say.
A key takeout from the feedback was the incredible way the team support people’s wellbeing, with the people we support experiencing ‘warmth, kindness and compassion’. One of the quality indicators (key questions) considered in this area included ‘People’s health and wellbeing benefits from safe infection prevention and control practice and procedures’, which is where the service achieved a level 6! Diane Gallagher, Service Manager for our Falkirk and Fife services said that at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic she was “worried, as she had to protect 70 staff members and 138 people we support”. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, staff were intent on continuing to provide exceptional support, enabling the people we support to continue to have a good quality of life, as well as maintain their independence. Diane says, “staff worked around the clock to ensure the people we support got visits”.
Despite the challenges faced, Diane and her team are dedicated to ensuring that the people we support have a good quality of life, whilst continuing to retain their independence. This is echoed in their fantastic Care Inspectorate feedback. Diane says the incredible work at the Falkirk service is a “team effort, we couldn’t do it without the work of our staff”.
